Overview
The Digital Network Analyzer DINEMO-II is a real-time communication unit which can be used in open-loop mode with the supplied software or in closed-loop mode in combination with simulation programs like PSS®NETOMAC* or PSS®NETOMAC-light and appropriate power amplifiers - for the simulation of multi-phase primary networks. DINEMO-II is especially suitable for the execution of real time tests for the examination and optimization of protection relays or controllers in electrical power systems.

PSS®NETOMAC, running on a standard Windows PC, can drive up to 16 similar analogues output channels with 12 bit voltage resolution and with a temporal resolution of up to 0.15 ms over the 100BaseT-ethernet interface of the DINEMO-II (typical round-trip time in closed loop mode with PSS®NETOMAC is 5 kHz). In conjunction with behind it switched power amplifiers (recommended: CMS156 by OMICRON) DINEMO-II allows to generate very complex shapes of curves for the voltages and currents for examination and test purposes in multiphase power systems.
Feedback messages can be send from the test field to the simulation program via 16 optical isolated digital feedback channels or via 4 analogues feedback channels (±10 V, 12 bit, not potential isolated). The feedback of the system under test can thus deal as an input for the next simulation step and therefore allowing the examination and simulation of complex protection systems in closed-loop mode.
DINEMO-II has a compact design and is suited in a case with 19"-rack. The equipment is easy to transport and thus also suitable for suburb examinations.
* PSS®NETOMAC (Power System Simulator ® Network Torsion Machine Control) is a simulation program of the SIEMENS AG for the calculation of electrical systems with networks, electrical machines and control equipments.
